Where are the source files located in solaris (b 116)

Hi all,

I would like to know the dir location where all the source files for various file systems are located(not the compiled ones)?

I tried in /usr/src/uts , but thats as far as I can go.
After this i have the i86pc but there are no .c files anywhere.... (Impossible)

# find / -name *.c -print
also turned up no matches.... (Im running as root.)

where are these files located?

The source code isn't installed with the distributions.
You can browse Solaris source code here:
http://src.opensolaris.org/source/
and download it here:
http://dlc.sun.com/osol/on/downloads/current/

Thanks,

I also have one more question....
I am planning on porting unionfs to solaris...
Knowledge of C is not an issue.. However I do not know how to proceed in this direction , can you point me to some resources that will help me understand the FS an a whole and any starter docs regarding the port?

Any/all docs are welcome

Thanks

That's quite ambitious.

I would suggest you to discuss that project to the OpenSolaris.org community. Perhaps the best place would be in the fuse mailing list as directly porting Linux unionfs to Solaris is doomed due to the GPL restrictions.
Another option would be to port FreeBSD unionfs which haven't that GPL so called viral requirement.
