what file are routes stored in?


Hi there

When adding a route (or indeed deleting a route) which file is amended ? I am moving a box from one network to another and when it starts up it tries to connect run 'add net 192.x.x.x' etc etc ...but i dont want it to do that

where do I edit these route additions

Since it is in the Solaris area, I figured it was Solaris... If it's not Solaris then another area may be more helpful.

D'oh! My bad. Completely missed which the forum. Usually just scroll through the 0 replies and don't really pay much attention to individual forums.

No file records route changes, they are internal TCP/IP stack tables.
There is however one or more initial default route(s) that are set with the /etc/defaulrouter file.
