What distro Linux for Sparc?

Which Linux Distro looks/runs best on a Sparc machine? The most recent Red Hat I could find was 7.3.

That should be good enough. I've changed my mind and decided to install Linux on a PC and maintain Solaris 8 on the Sparc. Too bad Sun ditched Red Hat support!

Look at http://www.informationweek.com/story/IWK20030331S0009 for a good article on the subject. In part it reads:

"Trying to move more into the Linux mainstream (less of an oxymoronic phrase every day), Sun Microsystems plans to support a number of Linux distributions rather than continue selling its own Sun Linux. No distributors have been named, but the company says they will number as many as four."

i suggest Debian.... because it runs great on SPARC!!

Go to http://lists.debian.org and join the "debian-sparc" mailing list, if you're interested!

What do people don't understand when someone states the thread starter has another post elsewhere on the same subject but yet they still reply to the one, given the fact they should post to the other one.
