VNC Viewer Server Problems Installing - Solaris10 Machine
 

Hi,

I downloaded an .rpm file for VNC Viewer (Server part) and when I try to install the package it stops installation and tells me that I do not have the required programs/applications.

These things are: :scratch:

rtld(GNU_HASH)
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.3.4)
libc.so.6(GLIBC_2.4)

I have no idea what these 3 programs are or what they do & can I download and install them. If so, does anyone know where I an get them and will they affect my system in any way?

rpm packages:

You cannot install rpm packages in Solaris. Solaris has its own package manager and uses a different package format.
You can d/l vnc from blastwave. Read the howto in the 1st page to see how you can install packages from blastwave.
