Please elaborate. If that user can change root's password, then he/she can login as root later and do anything on the system.

Well, there are a couple of ways of doing this.

1) Configure sudo for useradd.
2) Configure an RBAC profile.
3) Assign your new user a UID of 0 (this is a terrible idea)

Hi Mdhmi,

Thanks for your quick response, I dont want option of UID 0 instead sudo and RBAC option will be OK,

But wheather I need to install SUDO on solaris 9,10? Which file I have to edit.

In RBAC How to create that user who has having only changing root password right?

Please explain what you mean by "who can change only root password".

Is the user allowed to do regular things unrelated to changing passwords ?

Is the user allowed to change his/her own password ?

Is the previous root password known by the user ?

What is the point of the whole thing, the user being able to log in as root and do anything after the change ?

Just ran across this in an old 0-reply e-mail?

Interesting goal.

Why do you want to do this, i.e. what do you want to accomplish?
