unix compatiblity

I wrote a c code on linux platform. The code communicates with a specific device via serial port with RS232 protocol. How can I adjust the program as it can be used on UNIX as well? For example the serial port device can be reached by /dev/ttyS0 in linux,
but what is the situation in UNIX? I do have solaris 8.0 by the way...

try /dev/ttya , /dev/ttyb. as far as code goes, if it's mainly posix compliant,
i would guess there shouldn't be that much porting to do. btw, solaris has
man pages for *everything* so it may be useful to do a "man <function>"
or "man <library>" (you can use -s<section> or -a option if you get the wrong
man page).
