sun blade 150 autmotatic turn on problem


hi !
I got sun blade 150. Every time the light goes off and when it turn on the system starts automatically which will create some problem. All i want is that after the light turn on it will not start automatically.
Plz help me what setting should i do to implement this thing.

I assume you mean when the computer automatically restarts after a power outage. I don't know about Suns, but on PCs there is usually a setting in the BIOS that disables this.

yea that settings work fine on mircosoft systems. but there is not such option in sun blade workstations.

you could set the auto-boot? option in the open boot prom to false. then at least when you had a power failure the machine would only power on and not boot all the way into the os.

from the ok prompt
ok setenv auto-boot? false

or if you're in a shell you can use the eeprom command
#eeprom auto-boot?=false

so when the system powers on it will just bring you to the ok prompt and you'll have to type
boot
to load solaris

i have already set this option to false.
is there any jumper setting in hardware from which we can solve this problem or any thing else so that it will not start automatically ?

I bought a uninterruptible power supply for my system and that has kept any power outages from shuting my Sun Solaris system off.
