I have a Solaris server that sends emails and I use Google Apps for office mail. I've setup and group in GA to take care of emails for the group of people that receive emails for the project.
What I need is to find a way to make the emails from the Unix server have a reply to address matching that Google group.
Example:
Server: Unixmailer (FQDN: Unixmailer.co.somecompany.com)
Unix Account: unixaccount
Internal domain name is "co.somecompany.com"
External is "somecompany.com"
Some email servers reject
unixaccount@unixmailer.co.somecompany.com due to no DNS entry for it in the cloud. Also poses the risk that if someone were to reply, it would fail vs. going to the Google group for a response. So I need a way to make the reply to address
unixaccount@somecompany.com (the group).
The system sends email via the sendmail server but doesn't use mailx, so I can't just use the from flags for mailx.
Any help appreciated.
Thanks,
