Solaris Nivida video card driver.

Hi-

I installed a new video card and when I try to install the new driver for it I get "driver has been already been installed". It looks to be an old driver that must have came with Solaris 11 as this is a new install.
How do I install the new driver ?

Thanks.

It seems you just need to uninstall the previous one first.

Tell us first the command you use to attempt installing the driver and its output.

Something like this run command. It returns older driver is already installed as I already stated.

# sh NVIDIA-Solaris-x86-340.93.run

From http://us.download.nvidia.com/solari...EADME/faq.html
How do I uninstall the NVIDIA Solaris Graphics driver ?

Two Solaris packages comprise the NVIDIA Solaris Graphics driver files. Both Solaris packages NVDAgraphicsr and NVDAgraphics need to be uninstalled. Remove the package NVDAgraphicsr first, then the package NVDAgraphics:

# pkgrm NVDAgraphicsr NVDAgraphics
