Solaris Management Console question

Hi

I would like to ask if I wanted to enter the password aging of a minimum of 30 days, then will it be OK to enter that value in the SMC or should I enter them also in these files for MYUSERNAME ACCOUNT only...??

/etc/default/passwd
/etc/default/login

So, in other words, if I enter the password variables in the SMC rather in the files listed above, then will these STILL take effect I enter these values in the Solaris Management Console under my username?

thanks.

Hi guys -

I would just like to know if I enter the password vallues under the SMC console rather than using the commands to enter password expirations for a user, would that work??

I'm afraid nobody around here knows.

What about experiencing by yourself and share the result with the rest of us ?

I seem to recall it working fine in early versions of Solaris 10... Not something I ever use though.
