Solaris Commands

Hi all,

I used to use the RedHat LINUX. Now I have to admin some machines with Sun Solaris. I am quite not get used of it since many commands by RedHat LINUX don't work by Solaris.

I am going to find the command set for Solaris but couldn't googled a good.

Maybe someone has?

This might come in handy:

- A Sysadmin's Unixersal Translator (ROSETTA STONE) OR What do they call that in this world?

Many thanks.

But, by REdHat LINUX I can use the tab key when I type a command, so I don't need typing the whole command. How about in Solaris?

In RedHat Linux I can use the up and down key to find the last and next command I've used. How about this by Solaris?

The features you describe seem to be shell specific. Which shell are you using.

I know for sure that bash can do this, ksh can also do this but it is harder to set up (been a while since I used ksh).

Hi,

The current used shell is /sbin/sh.

I've changed it to bash. This works.
