Solaris 9 shutdown how to

I am trying to shutdown a Solaris 9 box via ssh using "shutdown -i 0" but it goes back to the boot prompt.

I want the OS to shutdown all the services gracefully and then shut itself down - not go to "State one." I don't want to use the halt and poweroff command.

Any way I can achieve that? Any help would be much appreciated.

The command to achieve that is "init 5".
