Exclamation solaris 9 on Toshiba satellite laptop

hello!

I have installed solaris 9 on Toshiba satellite laptop.

does any one knows how could i perform transactions between init states?

e.g. i want to shut down, init 5 reboots

i want openprom (ok prompt), init 0 reboots

is there something 'special' with intel versions of solaris9?

are there respective key sequnces to the Stop-key sequence?

thanks in advance.

You'd rather install solaris 10 or, Solaris express nv16 or better.

That's the init command purpose.

Init 5 normally shutdown and then poweroff if possible.

No openprom exists on x86 hardware ... Solaris can't fix that.
Init 0 just stops the O/S.

Not that much.

No stop-A, as there is no underlying open boot, however, you can boot under the control of the kernel modular debugger.
