Question Solaris 7 & ipv6


i am running solaris 7 on a server at work. my boss is wondering if Ipv6 can run under solaris 7. i have read that it is integrated in solaris 8 but i cant find anything about solaris 7.

does anybody have any articles on solaris 7 and ipv6? or do they know if they are compatible or if ipv6 works under solaris 7?

any help would be great. thanks

IPv6 is definitely not built into Solaris 7 (as you have no doubt realised), and given that Solaris 7 was released in 1999 (i think), it's doubtful that there would be any support for IPv6, as it hadn't really taken off.

However... Solaris 9 is available for free download if upgrading is an option:
