solaris 10 smc problem
 

please help me : I Install new solaris 10 but when I'm trying to open smc he told me he canot open toolbox

error message from console says:

check the premission of directory /var/run/smc+port/.

And what are these permissions like ?

Okay, when I launch smc on my machine, it works well.
When you launch it on your machine, it complains about some permissions being wrong on some files.
I tend to believe the error message is related to your problem.
How would you like me to know what these permissions are on your machines without asking you ?
What makes you feel it is an issue with java packages while the errors are about smc ?

yes and i change it but still the same prob anyway I will install new solaris initial install but the q is if this happen with server what should I do :mad:

You changed them to what ?
Is the permission message still there after you changed the permissions ?
How are you logging to smc ?
Have you "trussed -f" smc to see where it fails ?
