Post Solaris 10 performance issue

Hi Experts,

I am facing considerable degradation in performance with Solaris 10 kernel Generic_144488-12 in comparision to Generic_138888-05. I am using hardware Sun Netra 440 and same application code base for both above OS versions.

I am pasting below command 'mpstat 2' putout for your reference

with OS Generic_144488-12

CPU minf mjf xcal intr ithr csw icsw migr smtx srw syscl usr sys wt idl
0 641 0 622 576 55 2163 635 457 41 0 15581 81 13 0 6
1 789 0 569 613 94 2136 630 429 42 0 8118 83 12 0 5
2 598 0 1091 1031 491 2826 786 593 46 0 16193 78 14 0 8
3 710 0 1217 1110 211 2917 840 611 59 0 15348 80 11 0 9

with OS Test setup 2, mpstat snippet with 8.3 OS

CPU minf mjf xcal intr ithr csw icsw migr smtx srw syscl usr sys wt idl
0 1107 0 762 1342 331 2704 756 428 56 2 15403 74 18 0 8
1 924 0 792 1625 364 3077 940 400 42 0 15647 74 18 0 8
2 748 0 1457 2608 1532 3026 885 373 47 0 13751 69 22 0 9
3 1263 0 1062 2234 867 4002 1259 453 81 0 15517 72 20 0 8

Why is there huge increase in interrupts, cross calls, and context switching with 144488-12 patch for same applixcation code base??
How can I further investigate this performance issue??

Any help would be hoghly appreciated.

Thanks

Please use code tags for the mpstat outputs to improve their readability.

In any case, there are less interrupts with 144488-12 according to the numbers you posted, not more.
