trying to start smc, got the following message:

got the following information

Solaris 10 x86

$cat /etc/hostname.bcme0
10.0.0.10

$hostname
pimpking


any suggestions here

What gives:

/etc/hosts:

127.0.0.1 localhost loghost pimpking
10.0.0.10 pimpking localhost.localdomain

/etc/inet/ipnodes:

::1 localhost loghost pimpking
127.0.0.1 localhost loghost pimpking



(hmm...whats the function for "loghost", never seen that before..)

Not sure, but you may try to remove pimpking from the ::1 and the 127.0.0.1 lines on both files.

What gives "grep host /etc/nsswitch.conf" ?
