silly question?
Hi,
I apologise if this is a silly question but I need to know if I have to install the NIC driver when I'm using a router.
Thanks.

A nic driver for the router?
No driver required for a router. Only for the Nic itself.

Thanks,
That's what I was afraid of, because I've trying to install the driver for the Nvidia Ethernet Controller without success.
The driver is located here:
http://homepage2.nifty.com/mrym3/taiyodo/eng/
the name of the driver is nfo-1.1.2. Do you know how to compile and install this driver? Everytime I try to compile I get an error.
Thanks for your help.

Hmm, I just found you already asked the very same question, and I already gave you some hints.
