Runtime exception on a Solaris Machine

When I compile an application I get a lot of these warnings:

ld: fde encoding in adaptor_selector.o(.eh_frame) prevents .eh_frame_hdr table being created.

Eventually, it builds. However, when I run an application I get this error:

ld.so.1: saga-file: fatal: relocation error: file /export/home/mmicel2/saga/lib/libsaga_engine.so: symbol _ZNSs4_Rep26_M_set_length_and_sharableEj: referenced symbol not found

From the Internet, it seems that this means it is an incompatible libc error. However, I've installed many applications fine. Has anyone else seen this (on Solaris or not)? I'm stumped at what to do.

Thanks.

Ussually when solaris complain about ld.so.1 is indicative that the environment path is not set correctly.

do a echo $PATH_lib and see were your libraries point to or just time env as the application user

What should be in my path?

echo $PATH_lib
produces nothing, but my $PATH has
/opt/coolstack/mysql_32bit/bin:/opt/csw/bin:/opt/csw/gcc4/bin/:/usr/bin

What should be in the PATH?

Thanks,

I would suspect a g++ bug or mixed cc and gcc libraries. Try using Solaris bundled compiler toolchain instead of blastwave's one.
