Running Ekiga on a LAN with a SIP proxy

Hi.

I wanted users in my LAN to be able to use Ekiga and as I thought (better, hoped) there exist SIP proxies and I discovered by chance that one is bundled with Solaris 10: SER.

Now, I cannot find documentation on how to configure SER to act as an outbound proxy for Ekigas on my LAN to relay communication to the outside so that this configuration were invisible to clients. Neither I know if there's a better solution but it seems like a proxy is okay to do this. People were used to using Skype but as the mic doesn't work on VirtualBox on Solaris hosts and there's no information if such a feature will be implemented, it doesn't appear as a viable solution. Moreover, we're running some copies of Windows because of Visual Studio but I don't want to be running VMs just to use Skype...

Do you have pointers to useful documentation and/or examples to achieve such configuration?

Thanks in advance,
Enrico
