Unhappy Problem Solaris certification?

I am thinking of writing the sun solaris system administrator exams but I am afraid. With the sun and oracle thing Will the cert be valid in the next One Year or will It be better if I just go with the LPIC exams. I am a newbie with about 6 month experience with solaris, ubuntu and redhat.

I would have gone for RHCE but no center for those in Nigeria. You have to travel to india or South Africa to do those

Go for the LPIC exams. Oracle will strengthen Sun's position, but probably not with Solaris. Solaris is unlikely to grow much in the years to come and Oracle is heavily into Linux. So go with the LPIC.

Go for SCSA..Solaris is going to stay whatever happens to Sun even after the Oracle's ownership. :-)
