I don't have experience with Solaris but heres few hints:

First, please use a more descriping title for your posts. Also, asking for urgent help rarely gets you none.

Second, have you even tried to solve this by yourself or even looked into it?
Google gave this as 4th option.

Have you seen it? Do you use Solaris GRUB? Do you multiboot or is Solaris the only OS on VMWare?
Little more detail will help us to help you.

And finally you have posted Solaris installation problem question to software section even though there is a section dedicated to Solaris.
Posting questions to the right section helps the right people to find your post and to help you with your problems.

Don't take this the wrong way but some forum-manners increase the chance to get help.

And welcome to LinuxQuestions.

Thanks for the reponse and lead. Not taking it wrongly @ all and didnt even notice i was in the software section.

solaris is the only OS on the VMware and i do not multiboot. i've also never used a Solaris GRUB.

i took this fourth option because i had tried it severally on my own. will post the thread in the solaris section hoping someone would have be able to help.
