pkg-get upgrade

Hi All,

I installed pkg-get on my Solaris 10 machine and everything works fine. I noticed that if I execute

$pkg-get -i openssh

it will install openssh in /opt/csw/bin. How can I get pkg-get to overwrite my older ssh version (/usr/bin)? I know I can move and copy files to replace the older ssh files, but this can become tedious having to overwrite libs, includes and etc files. Any ideas on how to automate the upgrading of packes to their original locations?

Blastwave's packages aren't replacement but alternative builds. They are designed to live in /opt/csw and will probably break should you install them elsewhere. Moreover, overwriting files that belong to system packages is certainly risky as a security patch may revert them to an incompatible version.

I understand, thank you.

Can you suggest a tool/method of applying security packages safely?
