-- Sorry, I thought I was not getting any syslog messages from servers in other domains. But in fact, I was. It's just that the DNS server could not resolve the IP addresses of remote servers and printed IP addresses instead...which escaped my attention before.

is that mean you updated /etc/hosts file to solve the problem ?
