No command Prompt after "df" command


Hi,

i am facing a strange problem.
i dont get a command prompt after executing a "df" command, i even tried this with some parameters as well like -k, -h, but no luck. i have to press ctrl+c to get a prompt.

Kindly help

This means df is not exiting for some reason. Probably one of your mounted filesystem (probably one on the network) that is not responding...

If i mount a windows (or any network) share then df behaves the same way for me too. type "mount" to see if you have an network share mounted.

Hi,

i checed up the mounted partions on the servers...
and it was having problem
one of the NFS was removed but it was still mounted...
so the df command get stuck there....

finally the problem got solved
