Netra won't boot Splack CD: "can't find cdrom"

I'm trying to install Splack onto my Netra T1 105.

When I type at the ok prompt "boot cdrom" it thinks for a while and then gives me the message "can't find cdrom". I can boot into FreeBSD, and mount the CD, so I think that the CD and the CDROM are working fine.

I have also tried net booting with "boot net" but I get the same thing: "can't find net".

Any ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I guess the netra t1 105 has an IDE CD-ROM while Splack supports only SCSI CD-ROMS ...

While that may be true, it wasn't the cause of the problem. For some reason I couldn't boot anything last night, but today 'boot cdrom' and 'boot net' both work fine.

Now I have to figure out how to hard or network install...
