Yikes. That's not what I wanted to read this morning! I've found Xsun to be far superior as far as "working right". Xorg has been a disaster on Solaris for me!

I believe the issue you have with Xorg should be easily fixed.

Is there a /etc/X11/xorg.conf file on your machine ?

Can you post the content of your /usr/openwin/server/etc/OWconfig file ?

I ran kdmconfig and selected the Xorg option.
Subsequently, I was informed that I needed to run the commands to configure the Xorg server, I opted for the more convenient option of Auto Configuration by which I ran the /usr/bin/X11/X -configure command.

This yielded a blank screen, likewise to what I mentioned earlier, stating that Monitor Frequency Out of Sync.

Do you suggest otherwise, to run the more manual command; to generate the xorg conf file:

I know the autoconfiguration failed. What I suggest is to provide concrete data to go further:

1) - is there an Xorg file ? if yes post it.

2) - post your Xsun config file (OWconfig).

I managed to run the xorgconfig command and got the xorg.conf file configured...
