Java apps on Solaris not displaying in VNC
I have the following config on a Solaris Server.
In the file
/etc/dt/config/Xservers
I have the line
:1 Local local_uid@none root /opt/sfw/bin/Xvnc :1 -geometry 800x600 -depth 32
I connect to it using Linux/Gnome with the command:
vncviewer xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx:1 where xxx.xxx.xxx.xxx is the IP address.
When I am presented with the login screen I login with CDE.
# echo $DISPLAY
:1.0
When I run some Java Applications I cannot see anything in the VNC viewer, I guess it has something to do with the DISPLAY variable but I do not know what.

Please do not post the same thread in more than one forum. Picking the most relevant forum and posting it once there makes it easier for other members to help you and keeps the discussion all in one place.

I suppose it depends on the actual Java application. I got around the problem by:
xhost+servername
X -query servername :1
thanks
