Installing new cursor icons/themes

I have been playing around with trying to get a new cursor theme in solaris 10, I have tried the way that gnome tells you but it does not work in solaris. Anybody happen to know how to do this ? I googled the crap out of it but only found the answer that works for linux, I tried it and it does NOT work for solaris, if you know anything I appreciate it .

Thanks

Sure

Ya I found one thing here -

I found a lot of things that said almost the same thing on google - and I tried them - I also tried gnome.org and went through the docs there but I did not find anything helpful.

It seems this feature requires the Xcursor extension which is missing in Solaris.

According to this bug report, it will be fixed in the very next Solaris Express release (build 74):
