The multiboot link for Solaris is here
http://multiboot.solaris-x86.org/

This tells you all you need about Solaris and Windows on the same hard disk.

Also, this point has been discussed a lot in this forum. You can let your solaris bootloader boot both Solaris and Windows

I was curious if anyone was having issues with burning the ".iso" images to media. I have not been able to get a good first disk. I keep getting the error "...can't open - no hsfs VTOC".
I know how to burn the images. I have no problems or errors with installations of Fedora Core 4 or Solaris9 x86.
I was wondering if there was a "flavor" issue with Solaris 10 x86 and media. By "flavor", I mean, media from Maxell, Fuji, Imation, Sony, HP... etc. I have been using Maxell and Imation, which I have in bench stock. I still cannot get a good first disk without the aforementioned error.
I have read through the Sun Forums for technical issues involving media, but those are mostly creation of disk errors and not media preference errors.
The laptop I am working on is in the 10 x86 Hardware Compatibility List (HCL) as being a tested and capable system for the OS.
I know this is not for installation issues or burning issues, but as an aside, I am dual booting the system with Windows 2000 Pro with a free 10GB slice for installation. The one forum concerning burning is locked. After reading entries I know why.
I could just use some experienced user feedback. Thank You
