I am trying to burn data. please help

I am really no luck at all to backup my crucial data..Right now I am using CDRW which is already in Solaris 10..I did the following by doing this.

$ mkisofs -r $HOME/andy 2> /dev/null | cdrw -i -p 1
Looking for CD devices...
Initializing device...done.
Unable to set speed.

Why is this giving me an error to set the speed here?? Am I doing something wrong?

I have until midnight to backup my data or else I will be screwed..!!!!

To answer anyway or again.
Remove the -p 1 from the command this sets the burn speed at x1

I did that...and it cannot finalize the disk...

# mkisofs -r $HOME/andy 2> /dev/null | cdrw -i
Looking for CD devices...
Initializing device...done.
Writing track 1...done.
Finalizing (Can take several minutes)...failed.
Could not finalize the disc.

What can be the issue here?? Maybe my cdrw drive is not compatible here..

Also, I have tried the Cd Creator in the JDS Desktop enviroment and still no luck..as it cannot burn original files, it only burns ISO images..But the manual does not state that..And it does not let me choose from the Write to Target To option..

Will please someone help me with this..I will be in great trouble if i dont burn my data...Please.

Thank you.
