HP Proliant Server in SUN racks (900/1000)

Hi

Hope I get an answer here

Does anyone know if Proliant servers (DL range specifically) can be racked into a SUN 900/1000 rack?....

Has anyone actually done this?

Thanks

No first hand knowledge with that exact configuration, but I can say that the Sun V440 we have racks right up in "standard" racks...

I know that Compaq has their own proprietary rack...

So, it's very likely that your "Sun" rack is actually standard fit. However, your HP may or may not be standard sized. The good news is that Compaq/HP DO offer "standard" rack kits (for extra money of course) for their servers...
