How to launch apps on start up? automatically? (Just like startup services in windos)
Hi all,
I have an interesting development to talk about... Recently I noticed that on startup Evince and termial and pidgin are automatically loaded? Now thats a nice feature no doubt But i did not enable it?(I dont know where the files are) So now Not only do I want to disable a few apps but would also like some other apps to run on startup... could anyone tell me where this app startup file is? More importantly who even initialized it? |
What DE do you use (GNOME, KDE, XFCE...)? AFAIR, all of them can save user's session automatically and start at login applications that had been working at shutdown.

If you want to remove some of the apps from the list, just exit from them before login out. Alternatively, if you want to have other applications to be launched at each login, just let them open at log out. If I remember correctly, not all applications can be managed this way.
