Question How to get Openssh sshd daemon debug information on Solaris 10?

Hello People,

Anyone know how to get OpenSSH sshd debug information? As we know sendmail has a debugging option -d which allow user to check for detail information:

Sendmail Debug Information:

Code:
# sendmail -d0.10
Version 8.13.8
Compiled with: DNSMAP LOG MAP_REGEX MATCHGECOS MILTER MIME7TO8 MIME8TO7
NAMED_BIND NDBM NETINET NETINET6 NETUNIX NIS NISPLUS PIPELINING
                SCANF XDEBUG
OS Defines: HASCLOSEFROM HASFCHOWN HASFCHMOD HASFDWALK
                HASGETUSERSHELL HASINITGROUPS HASLSTAT HASNICE HASRANDOM
                HASRRESVPORT HASSETREGID HASSETREUID HASSETRLIMIT HASSETSID
                HASSETVBUF HASURANDOMDEV HASSTRERROR HASULIMIT HASUNAME
                HASUNSETENV HASWAITPID IDENTPROTO IP_SRCROUTE SAFENFSPATHCONF
                SYS5SETPGRP SYSTEM5 USE_DOUBLE_FORK USE_SA_SIGACTION
                USE_SIGLONGJMP USESETEUID
Kernel symbols: /dev/ksyms
Conf file: /etc/mail/submit.cf (default for MSP)
Conf file: /etc/mail/sendmail.cf (default for MTA)
      Pid file: /var/run/sendmail.pid (default)
Canonical name: solaris10.test
 UUCP nodename: solaris10.test
        a.k.a.: [192.168.188.132]
     Conf file: /etc/mail/submit.cf (selected)
      Pid file: /var/spool/clientmqueue/sm-client.pid (selected)

============ SYSTEM IDENTITY (after readcf) ============
      (short domain name) $w = solaris10
  (canonical domain name) $j = solaris10.test
         (subdomain name) $m = test
              (node name) $k = solaris10.test
========================================================
However when I enter sshd -d:

Code:
#/usr/local/ssh/sbin/sshd -d
debug1: sshd version OpenSSH_5.2p1
debug1: read PEM private key done: type RSA
debug1: private host key: #0 type 1 RSA
debug1: read PEM private key done: type DSA
debug1: private host key: #1 type 2 DSA
debug1: rexec_argv[0]='/usr/local/ssh/sbin/sshd'
debug1: rexec_argv[1]='-d'
debug1: Bind to port 22 on ::.
Bind to port 22 on :: failed: Address already in use.
debug1: Bind to port 22 on 0.0.0.0.
Bind to port 22 on 0.0.0.0 failed: Address already in use.
Cannot bind any address.

# /usr/local/ssh/sbin/sshd -d3
sshd: illegal option -- 3
OpenSSH_5.2p1, OpenSSL 0.9.7m 23 Feb 2007
usage: sshd [-46DdeiqTt] [-b bits] [-C connection_spec] [-f config_file]
            [-g login_grace_time] [-h host_key_file] [-k key_gen_time]
            [-o option] [-p port] [-u len]
Did I enter the command wrongly?

Thank you

You need to disable the ssh service before launching your own debugging instance.
