How to disable power on self test in Solaris ?
I am using Solaris 2.8 on a SUn V240
Each time I boot, a power on self test is started. How can I get rid of this self test ? Is it maybe set to boot in diagnostic mode?
At the ok prompt type printenv diag-switch? if it's set to true then do a setenv diag-switch? false that will turn off the diagnostic start up. That's all that I can think of that would make it do the exstened post. You could always do a stop n during the boot process to set all of the prom defaults...it might clear it up. |
