help required on configuring network interface

Dear friends,
We r having a sun fire 210 server with four ethernet ports. I configured the first port bge0 with ip address 192.168.0.2 while installing. But after installation i am not able to configure the later interfaces such as bge1,bge2 and bge3.i used the command "ifconfig bge1 plumb", and then tried to configure with ifconfig and was able to do and provided ip for all interfaces. But when I restarted the server and gave ifconfig -a i could find that no ip were assiged to the interfaces bge1.2,3. Pls advice how to configure these interfaces properly
regards
Binu

You already know how to configure them, as you did it.
What you want to know is how to have these setting persists between reboots.

This is done by creating files like "/etc/hostname.bge1" containing the wanted IP, and possibly extra "ifconfig bge1" options needed.
