I seem to have screwed up my bootloader configuration.
It all started when I marked my Solaris Active partition inactive, while I was creating a new partition using format and fdisk.
Upon restart, I got Active Partition not found.
What I did then was, using Schillix, I made my Solaris partition Active.
Now, upon restart, I am presented with grub> prompt.
My system [x86] disk details using GNU/Linux Notation:
Code:
/dev/hda1 --- Solaris
/dev/hda2 --- CentOS [ ext 2 ]
/dev/hda3 --- Newly Created Solaris2
Now, my troubleshooting queries:
How do I bootup the machine into Solaris or GNU/Linux from the grub> prompt. [ Assuming that the boot files are at standard locations ]
I have access to Knoppix, what I would normally do otherwise, is chroot into the CentOS root partition and run grub-install /dev/hda.
I would like to know what is the Schillix/Belenix equiv of the same procedure.... with the Solaris Notation.
