gmake in solaris 8


I am trying to compile a program at solaris 8 and have included /usr/sfw/bin and /usr/ccs/bin in the path but still gmake is not found ?

make is there but is gives the same error as i mentioned in this thread http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...olaris-703387/

I don't think Solaris 8 comes with gmake. You can download the make package from sunfreeware whicih is the gnu make (gmake). I guess you'll also need gcc
