Getting Solaris in the UK.

Hi there.

I like experimenting with different os's and I fancied installing Solaris. Problem is I've only managed to find it either by downloading the binaries from Sun which would take me with a 56k dial up approx 150 hrs to download or by purchasing a media pack at $95 from the Sun website but unsure if they'll deliver to the UK for a reasonable price.

Can anyone let me know if can I purchase in the UK and at what price?

Thought I had a spare copy lying around, but its disapeared, never leaving anything in the office unless is nailed down

Have you tried www.sun.co.uk, for a copy?...

I might be able to hold of another copy from some one, and post it to you if all else fails.

I'll give it a try now and thanks for the "if all else fails" offer.

I'll keep you updated.

Do you know when or even if Sun have released the Java Desktop for this OS yet?

I took a look at sun.co.uk and when I went to the download place it sent me to the US site which I'd been at already.

I also couldn't find any copies available in the UK. Surely there must be some????

I know that I don't live in the UK, but what about ebay? I've purchased copies of Solaris 7 on ebay, and I know there are lots of vendors that ship to the UK...
