GDM + adduser


i just wanna know how to activate gdm login screen in solaris 10 and create a user so that can login in welcome screen, cause after installing solaris 10 i just can login with root

To create new accounts, there are many methods, one is to run "/usr/sbin/smc", and use /export/home/xyz for xyz's home directory to avoir /home automount pitfalls.

To activate gdm vs the CDE login window, this should work:

/usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -d
/usr/dt/bin/dtconfig -reset
svcadm enable gdm2-login
