Erratic PC Netlink 2.0 (on Solaris 9) - Windows XP printing problem

Hi!
I've set up PC Netlink 2.0 as a PDC for my network composed of a mixture of Win95/98/NT4/2K/XP hosts, while having the print server on the same machine sharing the network printers to everyone. I also have everybody getting their network configuration from a DHCP server located on the same machine (a Netra V120 running Solaris 9). Everything seems to work great except for one thing: every now and then the WinXP hosts aren' able to print, e.g.: "Windows cannot print due to a problem with the current printer setup". Two minutes later printing works flawlessly, even without restarting the machine. First I blamed it on the flaky network, but this problem doesn't happen with any other hosts with a different operating system, not even Windows 2000.
I've applied all the patches for PC Netlink and installed SP1 for WinXP; the problem didn't go away. I've looked in the logs but nothing suspicious came up. Anyone else had the same / similar problem?

Thanks in advance,
Radu

Definitley sounds like a WinXP problem really. Maybe by posting on a Windows forum or site might speed up your replies since this forum is mainly a Linux/*nix forum.

Regards.

I assume you use the standard windows smb method to connect printers but you could also try the (unix) lpd system.

Link below shows the windows side for client and server setup.
