what abt 3 OS setup ?

Hi Infasoft,
Can you also let us know the other grub options for setup with more than two OS (Assmue Solaris + Linux + Windows).
You have just mentioned for windows, but for more than 2 OS, appropriate grub commands to be invoked for other OS too.

With thanks for your input,
Barun Parichha

It's the same no how many hundreds of OS you want to multiboot.

If you don't believe me, search for Saikee's multibooting thread. He booted more than a hundred OS on one box.

Barun-
Just like before, go into grub and drop into the command line by pressing "c". Then type :
Code:
 kernel /vmlinuz root=/dev/hda1
Now lets look at the code of above. The first part, 'kernel' obviously lets the boot manager know that the path to the kernel is. Then, you see '/vmlinuz'. This must be replaced with the kernel path to the OS that you want to boot into. You then see: root=/dev/hda1. Just like previously, you must change the /dev/hda1 part accordingly. Then i believe that you simply type:
Code:
boot
However,im not entirely sure about that. Try this link that i found online:
http://www.linuxselfhelp.com/gnu/gru...er/grub_4.html
Go under the GNU/Linux part. It shows you how to boot from there.
Good luck!
