default login session time out

Hi,

I am using solaris 10. I want to check what is the default session time out value.

Here in /etc/default/login

# TIMEOUT sets the number of seconds (between 0 and 900) to wait before
# abandoning a login session.
#
#TIMEOUT=300

By default TIMEOUT value is commented with 300 second value.

Is it work for 300 second as mentioned with commented value or by default no session time value implemented.

If the line is commented out, then it does not do anything. It is there for form to show you how to do it. You can uncomment the line and change the value if you wish.

I'm going to guess that when that line is commented out, there is no timeout. There are a lot of security things you do by uncommenting restrictive options in system configuration files.
