Hello all,
I am using Solaris 10 1/06 on a SPARC machine (SunFire T1000)
I want to set up a SMTP server for my network. What I am trying to do is have my server to "talk directly" to the recipient's email server without going through a relay (i.e. if a user sends an email to a gmail account...I want my server to "talk" DIRECTLY with gmails SMTP server...not send it to a relay).
I tried to do this but it's still going through the relay. Here is an example when I did a
mail -v (this is just a "pieice of the output):
Code:
354 Enter mail, end with "." on a line by itself
>>> .
050 <henry1982@gmail.com>... Connecting to bizmail.sbcglobal.net. via relay...
As you can see it's still relaying...
Here is a sample of my .mc file
Code:
divert(0)dnl
include(`../m4/cf.m4')
VERSIONID(`@(#)sendmail.mc 1.11 (Sun) 06/21/04')
OSTYPE(`solaris8')dnl
MASQUERADE_AS(`host.com')dnl
FEATURE(`masquerade_envelope')dnl
define(`confFALLBACK_SMARTHOST', `bizmail.sbcglobal.net.')dnl
MAILER(`local')dnl
MAILER(`smtp')dnl
NOTE: I changed the masquerade to host.com. But rest assured that my "real"
domain is in the file.
Thanks,
-C
