Ok...Somone told me about this built-in CDRW that Solaris 10 had on CDE...Its called CDRW...
No it's not called CDRW, but cdrw, Unix is case dependant, and cdrw is unrelated to CDE.
The cdrw manual page tell that -p sets the speed, as the error message complain about speed, it may be wise to try using a different speed, say "-p 4" or "-p 8".

i am still having problems even in the JDS cd creator..
1. the cd creator only seems to write or burn cd images...In the drop-down list, it only specifies file image as the Target to Write to...I cannot even change it ot another target or device...I dont know, but Im getting really really really tired of this nonsense..
2. when i put in my cd-rw, it does not want to mount it like in the cde desktop...at least, in the cde desktop it automatically mounts the cd rom...why am i having so many issues with this...
Now, i wrote some files in my cd-rw...but i wanted to test it to see if it wrote on it or not...but now, i cannot see my cd now...

Oh you gave up on me???? Im just trying the JDS desktop since that has the cd creator built in already...I have one problem now. I cannot select the drop down menu list as its default value is file image...Why not? There is nothing more I want now..
And this is by reading your first reply...take a look....you mentioned to go to the JDS Desktop if nothing else worked..
I dont understand and I have to really backup my data ASAp...Please...I really need this to be backed up...
Why doesnt it let me choose the drop-down from the drop down menu? All it says is File Image. I do not want to burn images.
I see many people on here that are asking questions like me and I dont see anyone getting discriminated here..except me..

And if you decide to be polite and nice while members are here to help people like you for free, perhaps it makes the whole experience a pleasant one. Outbursts like that are not only against our rules but down right uncalled for, you should be ashame of yourself for treating those that come to help the poor lost souls like yourself by calling them derogatory names and the like.
Make this your first and only warning, or you'll find yourself banned and you can seek help elsewhere.
