A basic question.

I ahve joined a training of solaris 10.

The faculty told that in x86 primary master is known as c0t0, primary slave as c0t1 and secondary master as c1t2 and secondary slave as c1t3 which is wrong.

What I feel is primary master and primary slave is ok but secondary master will be c1t0 and secondary slave as c1t1.

I may be wrong also because I have just started learning solaris 10. But that is what I feel.

Please guide me if I am right or wrong.

Not c0t0 but c0d0 and so on as these aren't SCSI disks.
The secondaries are likely to be c1d0 and c1d1.
However, unlike Linux, Solaris isn't (re)numbering its disks should new disks are installed in lower empty slots so for example, if you install Solaris on a machine where the only disk is the secondary master, it will be named c0t0 and not c1t0. At least this is my understanding.
