32 or 64 bit


Hi All,

How to know the bit(32/64) of the following.

a)Hardware (x86/sparc)
b)Solaris os
c)Application

A few commands that can help

SunBOX% isalist
sparcv9+vis sparcv9 sparcv8plus+vis sparcv8plus sparcv8 sparcv8-fsmuld sparcv7 sparc

SunBOX% uname -a
SunOS isunnai07 5.10 Generic_141414-01 sun4u sparc SUNW,UltraAX-i2

Applications:

SunBOX% file /bin/ls
/bin/ls: ELF 32-bit MSB executable SPARC Version 1, dynamically linked, stripped


Also check 'isaconfig -kv'
