I actually also have and run an orange pi 5 plus and I'm pretty happy with it so far. Are you maintaining that slackware port?

the kernel is compatible with slarm64 and slackware, currently irradium ( crux)
irradium - source based Linux distribution CRUX adhering to ideology keep it simple, has its own package system, also supports the port system.
irradium development
