ZipSlack on Libretto110CT-Image File?

Greetings,

Since I'm having problems installing regular Slackware 9 or 10 on my ol' Libretto110CT, thought I'd try out ZipSlack.

I copied over zipslack file from my Slack10 CD to C:\ on my WinXP Pro partition. Unzipped file as directed.
Checked bat file to see that it used '/dev/hda1'.

Rebooted using my Win98SE boot disk to DOS.
CD'd to c:\linux where zipslack resides.
Typed 'linux'
Bat file starts but get message to edit file, (which I already did before reboot)
It also says 'loadlin....image file not found. Please enter name of kernel image...'

Shouldn't it find it without my specifying it?

If not, what should I enter?

Thanks!

Mark

OK, made some progress.... but not there yet...

Decided to try downloading ZipSlack and using that file instead of version of off CD I have...

Well, for whatever reason, that one works!!!

However, after logging in as root, I want to install other packages as noted in install instructions. Says to do the following to install:

cd /mnt/cdrom/slackware
installpkg D/*.tgz L/*.tgz

tried that but get message that there is no '/slackware'
looked for it but can't find it...

Does instruction refer to location in directory on my 'C' drive (hda1) or my CD drive?
I assumed that it would be on my hard drive...

Also, how do I mount my CD drive?

It's an external PCMCIA CD drive?

Thanks for any help!

Mark

best way, IMHO, to install multiple .tgz files is to use "upgradepkg" tool with the "--install-new" switch like so:

upgradepkg --install-new *.tgz

this will install (if not yet installed) and upgrade (if previously installed) packages in you system.
