uncheck Kernel source

Hi there,

Please excuse me if this is a stupid question, I'm just wondering if Slackware required the kernel source to be installed as well during the installation process? to save some space, Can i uncheck the " Kernel source " option. Will the Os still running ??

anyhelp would be very apperciated !

There is no need to install the kernel source. Packages that are necessary for Slackware to run are marked 'mandatory'.
